Sites for revision
- Bestchoice For Chemistry - An interactive website, managed by Sheila Woodgate at the University of Auckland, which includes content and interactive tutorials for courses in chemistry at university and at high school. Suitable for NCEA levels one, two and three. Students need to register before accessing this. Registration is free. You should log on as a NZ high school user. Both NCEA and Cambridge courses are included. Some content is free but you need a license to access the full site. Ask your teacher if your school has a site license. You may need a code. Choose AS2.5 Organic from the menu. You should work through the L1 Organic sections first.
- A guide to naming organic compounds systematically. (Note that aldehyde and ketone families are not part of the level 2 course in New Zealand).
