Achievement

Information literacy skills means completing a step by step exploration into a carefully chosen inquiry topic which will allow you to form conclusion(s). The steps taken include:
- linking the inquiry topic to your English studies to help give you a real and relevant context. Plan your topic carefully to identify what you know and what you need to find out. You could research a hypothesis or create key questions to help you explore your topic.
- selecting and using appropriate ways of finding and processing information.
- evaluating the reliability and usefulness of selected information.
To form conclusions means you are able to take the best information to answer your questions or hypothesis and make statements which show your own thoughts about individual questions and the overall topic.
A conclusion is a logical progression or stage of thought that has been proven by using facts. This may be shown as your opinion or judgement, reaching a decision or suggesting a solution. Conclusions statements could begin with "This information shows...".
Achievement with Merit

Convincing means that you are able to answer questions directly and clearly connect your independent thoughts and opinions to the overall topic.
To form conclusions means you are able to take the best information to answer your questions and make statements which show your own thoughts about individual questions and the overall topic.
A conclusion is a logical progression or stage of thought that has been proven by using facts. This may be shown as your opinion or judgement, reaching a decision or suggesting a solution. Conclusions statements could begin with "This information shows...".
Achievement with Excellence

Perceptive means your carefully reasoned thoughts and opinions, based on any trends or patterns you can see from the information you have gathered. You are able to answer questions directly and clearly connect your independent thought to the overall topic.
To form conclusions means you are able to take the best information to answer your questions and make statements which show your own thoughts about individual questions and the purpose of the overall topic.
