2.5 Analyse a visual or oral text
This achievement standard involves previous viewing and study of a visual text (for example film, television programme, drama production, or electronic text such as a website), or listening to and study of an oral text (for example radio programme/drama, or audio performance), and writing an analysis of aspects of the text.
In the study of the text, students should have the opportunity to view the visual text or listen to the oral text more than once. The text analysed at this level should be of sufficient depth and complexity to enable the development of a full and detailed analysis.
