2.7 Deliver a presentation using oral and visual language techniques
This achievement standard requires the preparation and delivery of an oral presentation, presenting material clearly, using appropriate oral and visual language and presentation techniques, for a specific audience and purpose.
Your teacher will choose the task for your class. It may be to present a seminar, speech, or dramatic monologue. Your presentation will focus on speaking and use oral and visual language and other appropriate presentation techniques to enhance the presentation.
Although other languages may also be included in the presentation as appropriate (for example as an introduction or greeting), the performance must be mainly in English and demonstrate command of spoken English.
In any group presentation, students must have a significant role to be able to provide enough evidence for the assessment of their individual performance or contribution to meet the standard. Only the presentation will be directly assessed.
