2.8 Investigate a language or literature topic and present information in written form
This achievement standard requires investigation of an English language or literature in English topic by proposing research question(s), selecting relevant information from a range of referenced resources, and presenting accurate information, and drawing conclusions in written form.
Your research topic must be related to your study of English language or literature texts and be of sufficient depth and breadth to provide opportunity for relevant conclusions to be drawn and presented. Your research findings could be re-worked for assessment against other English achievement standards such as 2.7 presentation or 2.2 formal writing, or used as background for external achievement standards such as 2.3 extended text(s), 2.4 short texts, and 2.5 visual or oral text.
