Achievement
Demonstrate understanding of aspects of heat.
This involves providing evidence that shows awareness of how simple facets of phenomena, concepts or principles relate to given situations. This may include using methods for solving problems involving aspects of heat.
Evidence may be written, mathematical, graphical, or diagrammatic.
Aspects of heat will be selected from the following:
- temperature, heat energy, specific heat capacity, conduction, convection, radiation, insulation, phase changes, latent heat, the relationships:
Q = mcΔT Q = mL.
Achievement with merit
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of aspects of heat.
This involves providing evidence that shows how or why phenomena, concepts or principles relate to given situations.
Make sure you can meet the requirements for Achievement.
Achievement with excellence
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of aspects of heat.
This involves providing evidence that shows how or why phenomena, concepts or principles are connected in the context of given situations. Statements must demonstrate understanding of connections between concepts.
Make sure you can meet the requirements for Merit.
