Physics 2.1 Take measurements of physical quantities and analyse data graphically to determine a relationship
Subject content
- You are required to demonstrate your ability to use instruments that:
- have the potential for a parallax error
- require a zero error correction or reading
- have a digital display
- have more than one scale to select from.
You need to demonstrate proficiency in the measurement of at least three different physical quantities. -
Students will be expected to be familiar with the following graphs:
- linear y = mx + b
- square
- inverse
- inverse square.
Familiarity with exponential and log graphs is not required.
Visit It’s a wonderful line – data analysis using graphs – to have an introduction into the use of graphs to analyse data and to determine whether a relationship exists.
