Science 1.15 Demonstrate understanding of the effects of astronomical cycles on planet Earth

Assessment

  • This achievement standard is internally assessed.
  • Assessment of this standard could include, but is not restricted to, a written report, poster or PowerPoint presentation. Templates may be provided by your teacher.
  • The information could come from a variety of sources such as class notes, online searches, books, and magazines.
  • To show your understanding of the effects of astronomical cycles on planet Earth, you will produce a visual resource such as a poster, PowerPoint presentation, brochure, or blog. The emphasis will be on the use of images and diagrams, accompanied by written notes where applicable.
  • Supporting evidence must be handed in if appropriate to the form of presentation to ensure validity.  Your teacher may also make other checks to ensure the authenticity of your work.
  • You may be allowed to work with other students to gather information.  However, you must work individually to process, interpret, and produce the final report.
