Science 1.7 Investigate the implications of the properties of metals for their use in society
Assessment
Activities assessing this achievement standard involve two parts:
- You will have to carry out and record a series of practical activities as instructed by your teacher. This will take several hours and will be carried out in normal class time. You may be provided with charts to record your observations.
- You will then have to use the information from the practicals, along with other information which may come from class lessons or other resource material from textbooks, the internet etc to discuss a question provided by your teacher or make a poster or power point. This activity will be carried out individually, will take several hours and mostly be done in class time. There could also be a written test.
