This achievement standard requires you to report on an astronomical event or discovery that has occurred in the last five years. Examples may include:
- Mars discoveries
- comets and asteroids
- gamma ray bursters
- extrasolar planets
- black holes
- Kuiper belt objects
- solar flares
- moons of Saturn
- rings of Saturn.
Understand the research process:

- collect information
- process information
- produce a report. Your report will include a list of references written in such a way that another person can find them.
